The Area

Ersi rises in a panoramic position above the picturesque and colourful harbour of Fiskardo in the north of Kefalonia. The village's tavernas, cafés, shops and Venetian lighthouse are just a 5-minute drive away (or a 25-minute walk).

In terms of beaches, Ersi is blessed with several options nearby, including paradisiacal Emplisi, Kimilia and Dafnoudi, all of which are 5 minutes or less away. For the last two, one has to park and walk for between 250m and 500m. Iconic Myrtos beach, with its pebbly sands, its towering cliffs and its electric blue waters is 40 minutes away.

The north of Kefalonia is wooded and sparsely populated, and there are some nice walks in the area.

Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia is just over one hour away and is well worth visiting, not only for its pleasant pedestrianised streets flanked by tavernas, cafés and shops, but also for its market and its museums (one dedicated to the island's archaeology, the other to folklore).

Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands but still easy to discover in a week (even the southern tip, with the dramatic mountain and national park of Ainos Oros, and the Paliki peninsula to the southwest are no more than an hour and a half away).

Just 4km east of Kefalonia is the island of Ithaca and it's easy to spend a day there, thanks to the frequent crossings from the port of Sami on the east coast.

Ersi is an incredible villa with incredible staff. We had an incredible experience and are ready to go back. We loved the space, and the different houses make it really easy to space out and relax. The staff there are also just the best, really friendly and amazing cooks.

Ersi couldn't be better. It is totally heaven and the location is totally private and so quiet. The villa's very well thought out and everything is of the highest quality. The staff totally make the stay with amazing food, and they could not have done enough for us all. We could not praise this place enough.
