Lavender, roses and a path to the sea
A Torra's easy, almost Provençale charm wins guests over immediately. Sturdy stone walls, sea blue-painted shutters, and terracotta terraces evoke pure Mediterranean thoughts, while the extensive gardens, criss-crossed by follow-me paths, make for a serene, secluded and sensuous atmosphere.

A Torra sits on a little beach-flanked promontory on the south coast of Corsica, just over 20km northwest from Bonifacio. This section of the coast is characterised by a series of little coves and bays, many of which have lovely little sandy beaches.
A must-see for anyone staying at A Torra is Bonifacio, one of Corsica's most dramatically positioned and picturesque towns. Teetering perilously on a high cliff above the sea it offers sublime views over to Sardinia and some good restaurants and bars.
Less than an hour's drive northwest is the panoramically positioned, medieval town of Sartène, whose pretty labyrinth of streets gives an idea of Corsican life away from the coastline.
Heading up the east coast one comes to a series of delightful beaches, including those of Santa Giulia, Tamaricciu and Palombaggia, and Porto Vecchio, another of Corsica's many charming towns offering a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants and a nice old town centre looking over the large natural harbour.
Further afield on the west coast is the island's capital, Ajaccio, which is well worth a visit, not least so you can say that you've been to the birthplace of the great Napoleon.
If there is one thing Corsica is known for, it is its beautiful and plentiful hiking trails. This is a unique opportunity to discover some of the most beautiful off-the-beaten-track hiking trails in Corsica, accompanied by an English-speaking guide who grew up in the region.
DiscoverExploring the beautiful coast of southern Corsica by boat is an unforgettable experience. Myriad idyllic coves only accessible by water, magnificent cliffs, transparent waters, hidden sandy bays, stunning views of coastal towns… all this awaits anyone who hires a boat – with or without skipper – for a day or two.

We had an ideal chilled, in-villa, on-sea week at A Torra. This was our second visit and it met my particular family requirements: access to sea, relaxed but comfortable setting, size, great showers!

A beautiful character villa, as private, with well cared for gardens and the choice of many seating areas, so useful with an extended family! We loved the beach, sea access and were especially pleased that there were kayaks etc., which were all used regularly throughout our stay.

A Torra is beautifully located by the sea, very charming and well equipped. The garden is well maintained and the small beach and crystal clear waters outside the garden gate was virtually empty, a dream in itself!
