The Area
Panayia View sits in a slightly raised position looking out to sea and the east coast of Paxos. Surrounded by rustling olive groves it offers seclusion and privacy while still being within walking distance of the bustling village of Gaios. Indeed, a 15/20-minute (1km) walk will take you from the villa's gates down the hill to the harbour with its seafront tavernas, shops, cafés, beach and boat hire opportunities. The picturesque little ports of Lakka and Laggos are also close by and worth a visit either by car or by boat.
Gaios is the port of entry and departure, and also has frequent boat services to Corfu and Paxos' tiny sister island, Antipaxos.
Paxos (measuring around 13km from north to south) is situated 15km south of Corfu and about 20km off the Greek mainland. It boasts some of the most stunning beaches anywhere in the Mediterranean and, as it's only accessible by ferry, has managed to remain relatively unspoilt by mass tourism.
The western seaboard of Paxos is dramatic, with cliffs, sea caves and stretches of rugged, rocky coastline, while the east coast is home to gentle sandy beaches and views of the Greek mainland. The hinterland is carpeted with olive groves, which produce some truly excellent oil.
A holiday on Paxos is all about relaxing and taking it easy, all the more so if you book one of our villas on the island.

Private boat charters on Paxos and Antipaxos
Exploring the breathtaking coast by boat is a must and an excellent way to get to know the islands, stopping off for swims in secluded bays. The east of Paxos is gentle, with placid waters lapping pebbly beaches: the west has a more rugged, weather-beaten look that can only be fully appreciated from the water. To experience all this in style, why not book a day out on one of our private skippered charters.

The villa was perfect for our teenagers, near Gaios and the buzz and we loved all the restaurants, beaches and relaxing at the villa. Paxos is very special.

5 out of 5 for Panayia View. The staff were amazing, as was the chef we booked through The Thinking Traveller.

Panayia View was absolutely amazing. Beautiful views, ample space, shady corners, eating areas. Perfect for a large group. Light and airy. Bedrooms all very generous and really comfortable beds too.

We loved Panayia View and the town of Gaios. We had never been to Greece as a family, and it did not disappoint! The number of different seating areas was amazing.

This was the best holiday we’ve had in many years. The design of Panayia View worked perfectly for our family and everyone was so happy. My grandchildren have not stopped talking about it since.
