The coastal-country retreat
Tucked away in the wooded coastal hills of Lefkada and looking out over the Ionian Sea, Geoeli House effortlessly combines a magical, authentic Greek atmosphere, a sensation of Arcadian peace and easy access to a series of idyllic beaches and the seafront tavernas and bars of Sivota, an unspoilt fishing village on the coast below.

Geoeli House is situated in the south of Lefkada, near the village, tavernas and harbour of Sivota (a 10-minute drive), and within an easy drive of many beaches, including those at Mikros Gialos and Vasiliki.
Exploring the island of Lefkada, which is 35km long and 15km wide, is relatively easy in a week (if you can pull yourselves away from the views and pool of the villa!) and offers a great deal to see and do. The azure, transparent waters of the Ionian Sea are a real attraction and the varied coastline includes a host of golden sandy beaches and the dramatic white cliffs Cape Lefkatas on the southern tip. The wooded mountains of the interior, some of which rise to over 1100m, offer excellent walking, some truly beautiful scenery and a scattering of unspoilt villages where the way of life remains profoundly connected to the island's ancient traditions and customs. The island's capital, Lefkada Town is a buzzing centre with plenty of seafront tavernas and bars, a good selection of shops, and a busy marina.
At its northern point Lefkada is connected to mainland Greece by a causeway and, via frequent ferry services from the ports of Nidri and Vasiliki, to several of the other islands of the Ionian archipelago (including nearby Meganissi), making it eminently possible to explore further afield.
The azure, transparent waters of the Ionian Sea are a real attraction and the varied coastline boasts a host of sandy beaches, secluded pebbly coves and dramatic white cliffs, such as those of Cape Lefkatas on the southernmost tip. Most beaches can be reached by car and a walk, though a few are only accessed via sea, a good excuse for hiring a boat for a day or two.
DiscoverThe north of Meganissi is home to a seemingly endless array of dreamy bays with transparent blue waters, golden beaches, and emerald pinewoods. The best way to explore them is by boat, and you have two options: either rent your own with the help of our Local Concierges (they know all the best people); or let our experienced Specialists arrange a day or two on board one of our skippered charters. The sense of freedom you experience from cruising around, dropping anchor, and diving into the irresistible sea is like nothing else.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Geoeli House. The villa exudes an air of old world luxury, and is decorated with a personal touch that we truly enjoyed. The area has many beautiful villages to explore, but we found ourselves mostly staying put to savor the spectacular view of the sea, as well as the stunning pool and garden. We hope to come back!

Geoeli House is very comfortable, well appointed and well equipped. It's tastefully decorated in traditional style and has a great pool, a nice garden with plenty of seating areas (covered, shaded and open). The separate annex was useful for our family. We recommend it.

It was perfect and so comfortable yet luxurious, the perfect combination. Geoeli House is well located to make short trips around the island.

Interesting yet homey villa set in beautiful and varied grounds. We loved the villa, its pool and many little groves and spots to sit in, and its lovely grounds.

Relaxing and we felt like everything was taken care of for us.

Geoeli House is a beautiful property and I loved all of it. It was so homely, so much attention to detail and a fully functioning house, with everything thought of (juicers, frappe mixer, even cocktail shakers!). What stood out was the beauty of the house and the view, the space, and the amenities. I really loved it and would seriously consider returning.
