Cape Lougi, named after the headland on which it sits, delights in so many ways. The views are intoxicating, the grounds idyllic and the accommodation elegant and luxurious... no surprise then, that it was included in The Sunday Times list of the "Best European Villas"!

The Area
Cape Lougi is situated in the southeast of Lefkada, just over the water from the neighbouring island of Meganissi, a few minutes drive from the village of Poros and a 15-minute drive from the beach, harbour and seafront tavernas of Mikros Gialos, where it is possible to rent boats.
Exploring the island of Lefkada, which is 35km long and 15km wide, is relatively easy in a week (if you can pull yourselves away from the views and pool of the villa!) and offers a great deal to see and do. The azure, transparent waters of the Ionian Sea are a real attraction and the varied coastline includes a host of golden sandy beaches and the dramatic white cliffs of Cape Lefkatas on the southern tip. The wooded mountains of the interior, some of which rise to over 1100m, offer excellent walking, some truly beautiful scenery and a scattering of unspoilt villages where the way of life remains profoundly connected to the island's ancient traditions and customs.
At its northern point, Lefkada is connected to mainland Greece by a causeway and, via frequent ferry services from the ports of Nidri and Vasiliki, to several of the other islands of the Ionian archipelago (including nearby Meganissi), making it eminently possible to explore further afield.

Boat trips in Lefkada
The azure, transparent waters of the Ionian Sea are a real attraction and the varied coastline boasts a host of sandy beaches, secluded pebbly coves and dramatic white cliffs, such as those of Cape Lefkatas on the southernmost tip. Most beaches can be reached by car and a walk, though a few are only accessed via sea, a good excuse for hiring a boat for a day or two.
DiscoverBoat trips in Meganisi
The north of Meganissi is home to a seemingly endless array of dreamy bays with transparent blue waters, golden beaches, and emerald pinewoods. The best way to explore them is by boat, and you have two options: either rent your own with the help of our Local Concierges (they know all the best people); or let our experienced Specialists arrange a day or two on board one of our skippered charters. The sense of freedom you experience from cruising around, dropping anchor, and diving into the irresistible sea is like nothing else.
DiscoverBoat rental in Lefkada
A holiday in the sun would not be complete without exploring the breath-taking coastline, majestic cliffs and glistening azure sea that your destination has to offer. The best way to experience this spectacle is from your very own rental boat, pottering along at a leisurely pace and occasionally stopping off to drop anchor and swim in secluded bays.
DiscoverCycling on Lefkada
Discover Lefkada’s stunning landscapes by bike. For more independent cyclists, renting a bike is great option, and you’ll have GPS with self-guided itineraries to point you in the right direction. One of our guided bike tours also makes a great addition to any stay in Lefkada, taking you onto the island’s hidden tracks in the company of experienced riders who know these trails inside out.

We’ve returned to the same villa after ten years and were thrilled to find that paradise can be upgraded. Every small detail of Cape Lougi has been thoroughly considered and integrated to provide this exquisite bubble of bliss on Lefkada.

Cape Lougi is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need for a very indulgent stay. The views are breathtaking and the housekeeper could not have been more lovely or helpful.

Cape Lougi was quite simply AMAZING. The view, the care that has been taken with the house, the sense of space and of being surrounded by verdant, unspoilt landscape - it was truly an unforgettable experience for us all. The housekeeper, who came every day to the villa, was remarkable, so friendly and lovely, and so willing to help us. She made the holiday extra special, and we loved her. We didn't meet the owners, but we get a sense that they care about the property, that it is their home, and we appreciated being able to share that.

Cape Lougi never disappoints. This is our second visit, and the villa is of a very high standard and is constantly maintained by a very lovely housekeeper.
