The Area
Khaleesi occupies a privileged panoramic position above one of Corfu's most picturesque stretches of coastline. A short drive away is the delightful seafront village of Aghios Stefanos, home to a beach, five tavernas, a couple of cocktail bars, a selection of shops, and boat hire facilities. Also within walking distance is the lovely beach and taverna of Kerasia, and Kalami Bay, site of the famous White House, once the residence of the writer Lawrence Durrell, now a seafront restaurant and bar, where you can sit and imagine James Bond stopping in for a Vodka Martini (parts of For Your Eyes Only were filmed there). For a larger selection of bars, tavernas and shops (or for a spot of nightlife) bustling Kassiopi is just a 10-minute drive away, while Avlaki beach, one of Corfu's loveliest, is an easy drive away. Heading south, charming Corfu Town with its fortifications and the historic labyrinth of streets is about 50 minutes' drive and well worth a visit. If you're travelling with kids, there are plenty of stimulating activities and attractions for children within easy reach.

Khaleesi was the perfect place for our family to unwind for a week and discover the beautiful island of Corfu. The house is brilliantly designed, with lots of space for everyone to spread out, but the real highlight is the view - the most breath-taking sight of mountains, the sea and Albania in the background. I lost track of the hours we spent out on the sunny terrace simply gazing across the the horizon! There are also lots of fantastic things to do only a short drive away, in particular exploring the little coves along the coast below - each with its own beach and taverna!

Khaleesi is finished to the highest standard and equipped with everything you might need, the kitchen in particular. It's a beautiful villa, with sublime views, lovely staff. We would return because it suits the needs of the various members of our party perfectly and is located in a beautiful corner of the island with the most amazing views.
