Our story so far

Founded by Huw and Rossella Beaugié in 2002, The Thinking Traveller offers exclusive access to the most desirable rental properties in the heart of the Mediterranean, more specifically in Sicily, Puglia, Tuscany, Greece and Corsica. The company’s alluring villas, together with its unrivalled local knowledge and thoughtful service, has resulted in The Thinking Traveller being voted the World's #1 Villa Rental Company nine times at Condé Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards (including every year between 2016 and 2023). In 2020, Huw and Rossella met Anna Deimezi and Dimitris Giannakopoulos of White Key Villas, and it quickly became evident that they had a lot in common, not least in their shared commitment to excellence, their belief in sustainable growth, and their passion for the Mediterranean. The following year, White Key Villas became part of The Thinking Traveller and the four founders, along with their teams, work symbiotically in providing both clients and owners with a one-of-a-kind, 360-degree experience.

As a Thinking Traveller owner, you’ll always be able to speak to one of our experts, whether in London, Athens or on the ground, and you’ll receive the same kind of extra-mile support that our clients enjoy.

Our team boasts an extremely high level of expertise. Our London- and Athens-based team of Villa Specialists visit our destinations and our villas several times a year. The first-hand knowledge they acquire during these trips not only allows them to offer transparent, in-depth advice to our clients, but also means that our owners trust them to accurately describe and represent their properties. If you join us, you'll also have our infinitely resourceful Local Specialists to call on whenever you need them.

Apart from being the first point of contact for our clients, they’ll provide support to you and your staff, carry out health and safety audits, help you resolve technical issues, and work closely with you to ensure that our clients’/your guests’ expectations are always exceeded. Finally, should anything go wrong (damages, for example), you can depend on our Customer Relations Team to sort things out quickly and efficiently.
