Quintessentially southern Italian, masserie were usually conceived on a grand scale, incorporating not only living quarters for when the aristocratic owners visited, but also store rooms, stables, wine and olive presses, internal courtyards and even chapels. This collection includes masserie in both Puglia and Sicily.
