The Area
Lo Iazzu is situated just outside the Valle d'Itria, about a 5-minute drive from the small town of Crispiano, which has a weekly market and a good selection of restaurants, bars and shops. 20 minutes' drive away is the lovely town of Martina Franca, which hosts an internationally renowned classical music festival in the summer months. Slighly further afield, but still within easy driving distance, are the other delightful towns of the Valle d'Itria, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Alberobello, Locorotondo, Cisternino and Ostuni.
The historic Ionian seaport of Taranto is just over 20km away and there is an ample selection of sandy beaches running both north and south along its coastline.
The fascinating UNESCO Heritage town of Matera with its historic cave dwellings is just over the border in the region of Basilicata and is well worth a day trip.

We would return to Lo Iazzu. It's a high quality, well-equipped villa with excellent staff and a superb pool in a very private location. The availability of products made at the property (olive oil, honey) was also really great.

The staff who looked after the gardens and all the household requirements could not have been more helpful or discreet, as were the owners.

We couldn't have picked a better villa than Lo Iazzu in terms of location, cleanliness, modern amenities, pool area, kitchen and outdoor seating areas. Our holiday? Everything was phenomenal.

The detail, style and condition of Lo Iazzu is exceptional. The privacy and extent of the land around it was unexpected. The facilities are superb and the owner and staff were a delight. We could not have been more pleased with the holiday. We booked a meal prepared by the in-villa cook and an in-villa pizza cooked in the outdoor oven with tables and lights in the garden. Both should be experienced.

We had another wonderful holiday at Lo Iazzu and would like very much to return. This year we were fortunate to be able to enjoy a pizza evening around the wood fire in the villa grounds. The pizzas were delicious and the whole experience was enhanced by sharing it with some members of the family who own the property and of course the chef and his wife who did all the cooking. It was one of the high points of our holiday and we thoroughly enjoy the evening.
