The house of light
Discreetly embedded into the hillside just above the bay and harbour of Sivota, Pleione oozes style and seduces with its photogenic good looks. Its attractive, cleverly conceived design makes the most of the gorgeous views, while its prime position poses the perfect dilemma for guests: after a day's relaxation, should one stroll out for drinks and dinner or stay at home and enjoy Pleione's sense of privileged seclusion.

Pleione is located on the bay of Sivota in the southeast of Lefkada. The village and harbour of Sivota, with its popular waterfront tavernas, bars and cafés, its shops, and its boat hire options, is an easy stroll away (about 400m).
Apart from the direct sea access at the bottom of the drive, Pleione is conveniently close to a good selection of beaches, including those at Afteli, Ammousa, Vassiliki and Mikros Gialos.
Exploring the island of Lefkada, which is 35km long and 15km wide, is relatively easy in a week (if you can pull yourselves away from the views and pool of the villa!) and offers a great deal to see and do. The azure, transparent waters of the Ionian Sea are a real attraction and the varied coastline includes a host of golden sandy beaches and the dramatic white cliffs Cape Lefkatas on the southern tip. The wooded mountains of the interior, some of which rise to over 1,100m, offer excellent walking, some truly beautiful scenery and a scattering of unspoilt villages where the way of life remains profoundly connected to the island's ancient traditions and customs. The island's capital, Lefkada Town, is a buzzing centre with plenty of seafront tavernas and bars, a good selection of shops, and a busy marina.
At its northern point Lefkada is connected to mainland Greece by a causeway and, via frequent ferry services from the port of Nidri, to several of the other islands of the Ionian archipelago (including nearby Meganissi), making it eminently possible to explore further afield.
The azure, transparent waters of the Ionian Sea are a real attraction and the varied coastline boasts a host of sandy beaches, secluded pebbly coves and dramatic white cliffs, such as those of Cape Lefkatas on the southernmost tip. Most beaches can be reached by car and a walk, though a few are only accessed via sea, a good excuse for hiring a boat for a day or two.
DiscoverThe north of Meganissi is home to a seemingly endless array of dreamy bays with transparent blue waters, golden beaches, and emerald pinewoods. The best way to explore them is by boat, and you have two options: either rent your own with the help of our Local Concierges (they know all the best people); or let our experienced Specialists arrange a day or two on board one of our skippered charters. The sense of freedom you experience from cruising around, dropping anchor, and diving into the irresistible sea is like nothing else.
DiscoverA holiday in the sun would not be complete without exploring the breath-taking coastline, majestic cliffs and glistening azure sea that your destination has to offer. The best way to experience this spectacle is from your very own rental boat, pottering along at a leisurely pace and occasionally stopping off to drop anchor and swim in secluded bays.
DiscoverDiscover Lefkada’s stunning landscapes by bike. For more independent cyclists, renting a bike is great option, and you’ll have GPS with self-guided itineraries to point you in the right direction. Our stay at Pleione was highly relaxing. What stood out were the views, the style and the proximity to town.

Pleione was outstanding, high quality, and the staff were great. We would definitely like to return. What stood out for us was the location and the view into the bay and marina, the outside eating area, and in particular the huge and deep infinity pool.

Extraordinary villa, with hands down the best pool in Sivota. Very short walk to the quay. Lovely to have direct access to the water via the pontoon.
