With almost 60km of coastline, there are plenty of beautiful beaches to explore on Antiparos, some sandy, others pebbled, some well-frequented, others refreshingly peaceful. Many of the beaches are well-located as they are less than 5km from the island’s main hub, Antiparos town. Others are slightly further afield but undeniably worth a visit!
Agios Giorgios
Where: On the southern coast facing the island of Despotiko.
Description: A gilded sandy stretch overlooks a wide expanse of azure waters. They are very shallow making this wind-protected bay a perfect spot for families with children. There are wonderful restaurants nearby to break up the beach day and refuel after busy days of lying in the sun!
Faneromeni
Where: On the southern-most tip of Antiparos
Description: Off-the-beaten track and located in a seeming paradise, this small bay is worth the extra effort to get there! A gorgeous bay, moonlike rock formations, calming crystal seas and picturesque views make Faneromeni a must-visit.
Access: By Jeep or SUV.
Panagia
Where: On the eastern coast, 3km from Antiparos town
Description: Arguably one of the most beautiful beaches on Antiparos, this seemingly remote escape is actually well positioned to provide you with natural beauty as well as easy access to refreshments (there is nearby local tavern) and bustling life (Antiparos town is a matter of minutes away). With beautiful sandy shores, towering trees providing relief from the sun, and refreshing waters, Panagia is pure serenity.
Glifa Beach
Where: On the eastern coast of Antiparos, 3.5km from Antiparos town
Description: Calming waves brush against Glifa’s sandy bay. With a few deckchairs and umbrellas onsite, the beach is ideal for families who are looking for peace and relaxation.
Psaraliki beach
Where: In the northeast of Antiparos, walking distance to the town
Description: Despite being so centrally located to the town, Psaraliki remains remarkably unspoilt and beaming with natural beauty. It is a wind-protected, pebbled bay with shallow waters made up of multiple blue hues. Even in summer, this beach is a calm spot and its proximity to the town ensures that everything you may want and need is within easy reach.
Access: Easy, by foot from Antiparos town.
