How to book your holiday

When booking your holiday it is important that everything is just right! To ensure this is so, we recommend you speak to our expert team in London or Athens about your wishes and requirements. They visit our destinations and our villas regularly and will be absolutely delighted to answer all your questions, give you thoughtful advice and point you in the right direction.

You can contact them by phone, email, or via our online LiveChat function. You can also send us an enquiry - just click on the envelope icon at the top right of our site - or a shortlist of favourite villas. To add villas to your shortlist, click on the heart icon at the top of each villa's page next to the slideshow. Once your list is ready, click on the heart icon at the top right and click "send enquiry".

Book your villa online

Once you've chosen your villa(s), the easiest way to book is online straight from the villa page(s). The process is extremely simple: select the week(s) you wish to book on the availability calendar; enter the composition of your group and preferred rooming; check the price shown; click on the "Book now" button, and follow the instructions to make a payment on our secure site. NB It is currently not possible to make online bookings for (i) the winter (from the end of October to Easter), (ii) last-minute bookings made less than 6 days before departure date, (iii) stays of more than 4 weeks. For these types of bookings, please contact us at info@thethinkingtraveller.com or calling our London office on +44 (0)20 7377 8518. In addition, a few of our villas are excluded from online booking. If your villa does not offer the "Book now" button, please contact us via phone or by submitting a shortlist enquiry directly from the villa page.

Or check prices and availability and ask us to place an option

Prices and availability for all our villas are shown on each individual property page. Simply use the calendar function to check which weeks are free. Select the week(s) of your holiday and add information about your group and your preferred room configuration. Check the price and if you're ready to book online, click "Book now". If you are not yet ready to book and you would like to speak to us first, click on "Send enquiry".

Once you have sent us an enquiry or a shortlist (use the heart symbol to create a shortlist of your favourite villas), one of our Villa Specialists will be in touch with you to offer tailored, expert advice and information. They will also be able to place an option to hold the villa for you whilst you consult with your family and friends (options normally help for 24 hours). Confirm your booking (once we've created an option for you)

  1. Log onto your Accunt.
  2. Make your confirmation payment (if booking more than 9 weeks before departure, a 30% deposit is sufficient to confirm your villa).
  3. Full payment of the balance is then due 9 weeks before departure.
  4. If you are booking fewer than 9 weeks before departure, payment of the full amount is required at the moment of confirmation.

NB Payment of both the deposit and the balance may be made in UK Pounds Sterling, US Dollars or Euros. You may pay this online by credit card by logging into the Accunt, or by bank transfer. Please note that we will never share our bank details in the body of an email. Should we email you asking for a payment to be made to our bank account, we will share our bank details via a secure link to our website.

Make the most of your online account

Your own login- and password-protected account on TheThinkingTraveller.com not only allows you to make secure online payments for your villa but may also be used for the following*:

  • informing us about your flight/check-in times
  • specifying room configurations
  • requesting travel cots and highchairs
  • renting a car
  • organising a rental car delivery to your villa
  • organising a transfer to your villa
  • arranging an in-villa cook
  • ordering wine for your villa
  • sending us your feedback

*these services and more will become available on an ongoing basis

Your information pack

Once your balance has been paid, all the information you need about the villa, the surrounding area, and your destination will be made available to you in your online account.

Don't worry about a thing - local support

In addition to your ongoing contact with The Thinking Traveller’s team in London or Athens, you will be able to contact a dedicated Local Specialist on the ground in Italy, Greece or Corsica from the day before departure until your safe return home. Your Local Specialist will be available to provide any assistance you may require during working hours, and emergency support 24/7.
