The Area
Tenuta MarVi sits in the tranquil countryside just outside the small town of Salve and just a short drive from a series of idyllic sandy beaches that runs up the coastline from Marina di Pescoluse and Torre Vado to Riva di Ugento. The shallow transparent waters and lots of well-equipped lidos make this area ideal for families with young children.
Salve offers all the most important amenities, including small supermarkets, grocery shops, a few restaurants and bars, chemists' and banks. Nearby Morciano di Leuca and Marina di Pescoluse also have plenty of facilities.
Just a few km east along the coast is the charming resort town of Santa Maria di Leuca, which offers a great selection of restaurants, bars and an internationally famous yachting marina, which is an obligatory stop for many yachts on their way to the eastern Mediterranean. The beautiful baroque town of Lecce is just an hour's drive as are several other interesting spots, including the fortified island town of Gallipoli and delightful east-facing town of Otranto.

Tenuta MarVi was a beautiful home and we had a great time. It's in a beautiful setting with immaculate grounds and is very well equipped, particularly the kitchen. We had fun and enjoyed the sun, amazing food, great friendly service and a lovely morning yoga class! The staff were wonderful.

Tenuta MarVi was a relaxing, comfortable oasis with excellent amenities. What stood out was the overall quality, the amenities and the pleasant aesthetics of the property. The self-service wine cellar in the villa was a nice touch. The pool and the surrounding pool area at the house was lovely and the landscaping was very nice. I loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom and the two external buildings did not feel like an afterthought and were charming and well provided for. The local pizza chef made seriously the most amazing pizza I've ever had, and I'm a New Yorker who is used to wonderful pizza.

Beach was only 10 mins away.... perfect family vacation with the least amount of stress - exactly what we needed and even more.
